  • Music Programs for Children & Youth

    Periodic programs for exploring singing, bells, and musical productions are offered with short term commitments (usually Sunday afternoon practices with snacks provided for 4-6 weeks prior to the performance).

  • Good Shepherd Choir

    The primary choir of Good Shepherd sings every Sunday from August through Pentecost at 10:15 AM. The Choir sings special concerts and evening songs from time to time, often with other choirs. You do not need to read music to sing in this choir!

    Good Shepherd Choir is for adults and high schools students and rehearses Wednesdays, 7:00 - 8:30 PM.

  • Handbell Choir

    Good Shepherd has 5 Octaves of Malmark Handbells and three octaves of hand chimes that need YOU to ring!

    Music reading ability is desirable.

    Adult Handbells: Wednesday , 9:15 - 10:30 AM

Children’s Summer Musical!

Registration begins June 2 – 16  after the 9:15 service for the Summer Children’s Musical. The musical is June 17-23 and is for children who are going into grades 2-6.  Rehearsals are 6-8:30 pm Monday to Thursday.  Saturday is our dress rehearsal from 9am till noon.  We will present the musical on Sunday the 23rd during the 9:15 Family Service. Registration is $35.  You can also register with Joseph Painter during the week.  We’re going to have a great time.

Joseph Painter, Good Shepherd Music Director

Joseph joined Good Shepherd in August of 2023. He has over 30 years experience with church and community choirs including adult, children’s and handbell choirs.

Joseph earned a Master’s of Music from The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s of Music Education from James Madison University. Joseph chooses the music for our weekly liturgies; feel free to let him know what your favorite hymns are! Email Joseph
